Leicester City Vs Manchester City Preview. Man City will face Leicester in the Community Shield 2021/22 final which will take place at Wembley Stadium, Saturday (07/08/2021) at 9:45 p.m. Indian time.

City were champions of the Premier League last season. The Citizen was able to pack 86 points from 38 matches played. They are 12 points ahead of city rivals, Manchester United, who finished in second place.

Leicester, on the other hand, won the FA Cup last season. The Foxes won the event after defeating Chelsea in the final match 1-0 through Youri Tielemans goal.

City has been impressive in their pre-season games this year. In the 3 matches they played, City always managed to win, namely against Preston North End with a score of 2-0, Barnsley with a score of 4-0, and Blackpool with a score of 4-1.

In this match, City itself still cannot be strengthened by some of its core players who competed in the EURO and Copa America events. Pep Guardiola as City coach will field several second-tier players in this match.

On the other hand, Leicester actually performed poorly in their pre-season games this year. Of the 4 matches played, Leicester was only able to pick 1 victory, namely when they faced Villarreal with a score of 3-2 last Thursday (05/08). Meanwhile, the remaining 3 matches always ended without a win, namely losing 1-3 to Burton Albion on penalties, losing 0-1 to Wycombe Wanderers, and drawing 3-3 against Queens Park Rangers.

City and Leicester last met in matchday 30 of the Premier League last season which took place at the King Power Stadium. In that match, City was able to beat Leicester with a score of 2-0 through goals from Benjamin Mendy in the 58th minute and Gabriel Jesus in the 74th minute.

City and Leicester have met 85 times so far. The city is ahead with 40 wins and Leicester won 27 wins, while the other 18 matches ended in a draw.

If you judge in terms of quality, City will of course be more favored over Leicester in this match.

However, it is believed that City will be in a bit of trouble considering that they have not been able to be strengthened by some of their pillar players in this match.
