Match Preview

Manchester City Vs Arsenal Preview. Man City will host Arsenal at the Etihad Stadium in the match week 3 of the Premier League 2021/22, Saturday (28/08/2021) at 5:00 p.m. Indian time.

The city started the season with a bad result. Currently, City is in the ninth position in the standings with a collection of 3 points.

In the opening weekend match, City was defeated by Tottenham Hotspur with a score of 0-1. However, in the second week City was finally able to rise and successfully beat Norwich City with a landslide score of 5-0 through goals from Tim Krul (og), Jack Grealish, Aymeric Laporte, Raheem Sterling, and Riyad Mahrez.

The landslide victory over Norwich will clearly make Pep Guardiola's troops more confident in facing Arsenal in this match.

On the other hand, Arsenal will visit the Etihad Stadium with high confidence. The reason is, Mikel Arteta's troops just picked up a landslide victory 6-0 over West Bromwich Albion in the League Cup last Thursday. Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang became the star of the Gunners'  victory by scoring a  hat trick, while the other 3 goals were scored by Nicolas Pepe, Bukayo Saka, and Alexandre Lacazette each.

But unfortunately, Arsenal's good results in the League Cup were not accompanied by results in the Premier League. In the 2 matches that have been undertaken in the Premier League, Arsenal have always lost. In the opening match, Arsenal was surprisingly lost by promoted team Brentford with a score of 0-2, then in the second match, they were again humiliated by Chelsea at home with a score of 0-2.
